From B Lundell (?): I've got a couple of puzzlers I'm trying to work out the answers to. Got any ideas? A If you multiply together all the odd numbers from 1 to 999, what will be the final digit. And why? B A torn piece of paper is lying on my office floor. It's obviously part of a list, but the top and the bottom are missing. All I can see of the list are items two to five - and these have been abbreviated. They read:
2. T D What does the partial list represent? And give the full version of the first missing item. From Adam Shah: A man stands in the centre of a large field. There four horses in the field, one at each corner - a bay horse, a chestnut horse, a white horse and a black horse. For reasons we needn't go into, the man has to kill his horses. If he must remain at the centre of the field, the horses stay at the four corners and he is a perfect shot, how can he make sure that none of his horses remain alive using only three bullets? And from Kavitha: Customer services at GreyCells' head quarters received the following letter recently. Luckily our top puzzle solvers were able to determine the meaning and requested the TIMs department to help Ms puzzler with her problem. Can you work out what her problem was?
